  • Surface-mounted glass spigots are investment-cast in solid marine-grade stainless steel or Duplex 2205. Engineered with reinforced base collars and optimized anchor bolt patterns, they withstand standard code-mandated commercial railing loads (200 lbf concentrated load and 50 plf uniform load) on exterior balconies without requiring top handrail stabilization.

  • For post-supported glass systems using pre-drilled clamp posts, intermediate posts are typically spaced 3.3 to 4.0 feet (1.0m to 1.2m) apart. Glass panels should not exceed 4 feet in width to prevent excessive glass flex under lateral wind loads or impact.

  • Outdoor glass railings around swimming pools and oceanfronts face continuous airborne chlorides and pool sanitation chemicals. Duplex 2205 provides double the mechanical yield strength of standard austenitic stainless steel and ultimate resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking, completely eliminating pitting corrosion.

  • Side-mount fascia posts require heavy-duty stainless steel chemical drop-in anchor studs or mechanical wedge anchors embedded at least 80mm into structural concrete to safely resist heavy lateral bending moments and shear loads.

  • Point-fix standoff pins utilize threaded internal spacers and high-durometer EPDM rubber isolation washers, allowing installers to fine-tune standoff projection by ±5mm to compensate for plumb variations across rough concrete fascia faces.
