System Engineering Overview

The SANON Channel Glass Railing System uses a solid bottom base track. It delivers maximum continuous support along the entire glass run. This system is the standard choice for retail malls, transport terminals, and stadiums.

The continuous structural channel distributes crowd push loads evenly into the concrete floor. We manufacture base tracks in structural aluminum and architectural stainless steel. Custom architectural cladding plates conceal all anchor bolts.

Core Technical Features

  • Continuous Support: Full-length linear grip provides exceptional stability.
  • Pressure Wedge Alignment: Fast tool-driven leveling without messy mortar.
  • High Crowd Rating: Engineered for severe line loads up to 3.0 kN/m.
  • Architectural Cladding: Snap-on covers in satin, mirror, or PVD black.

Pair this system with our Glass Hardware accessories for rapid field placement.

Continuous Top-Mount Base Channel System

Heavy-duty extruded aluminum and stainless steel bottom track channels with continuous pressure cladding for structural glass support.

  • Continuous bottom edge structural anchorage
  • Interlocking pressure wedge alignment system
  • Engineered for 12mm to 21.52mm laminated toughened glass

Delivers maximum linear load distribution (up to 3.0 kN/m) for heavy commercial traffic zones.

Fascia Side-Mount Base Channel System

Side-anchored continuous base track engineered for mounting directly onto fascia slab edges along balconies and mezzanines.

  • Keeps balcony deck surfaces 100% unobstructed
  • Architectural cladding covers in Satin, Mirror & PVD Black
  • Integrated internal drainage weep channels

Maximizes usable balcony square footage compared to top-mounted base channels.

6-Step Mechanical Installation Brief

  1. Anchor the continuous base track into the slab using heavy studs.
  2. Insert bottom rubber setting blocks into the channel bed.
  3. Lower laminated glass panels into the track.
  4. Drive composite pressure wedges to adjust panel plumb.
  5. Snap decorative stainless steel side cladding covers into place.
  6. Insert weather-seal rubber gaskets along the glass joint line.

System-Specific Technical & Procurement FAQ

Expert engineering guidance, compliance details, and B2B procurement insights tailored specifically for this railing architecture.

Can the base track be mounted on the side of a balcony?

Yes. We supply both top-mount base channels and side-mount fascia profiles. Fascia mounting preserves 100% of the usable balcony floor space.

How does the pressure wedge system work?

Installers place precision composite wedges between the glass and channel wall. Tightening the wedges forces the glass against the track wall, ensuring plumb alignment without drilling.

How does the track handle rainwater drainage?

Our exterior channels include pre-machined internal drainage weep slots. Trapped water drains freely to prevent pooling and freeze-thaw slab damage.

What is the standard profile length for shipping?

Standard lengths are 3000mm and 5000mm. These dimensions fit easily into 20ft and 40ft ocean shipping containers and allow fast on-site handling.

Is this system approved for high crowd density venues?

Yes. Our continuous channel profile is tested up to 3.0 kN/m, making it fully compliant with international stadium and transit hub building codes.

Are replacement cladding covers available?

Yes. Snap-on stainless steel cladding trims can be replaced easily if scratched during construction without removing the structural glass.

What certifications accompany export shipments?

We supply complete structural load test reports, alloy chemical analysis, and EN 10204 3.1 MTC certificates with every shipment.
